Ifreke 21st September 2019

Uncle George, little did we know that God will call you so soon. When I shared with you my next assignment, we were to meet at Abuja but I never knew it was no more. Life isn't always fair! In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. She left, shortly after nine months you follow: for parts of us went with you. You both left us peaceful memories. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again. Death, be not proud, though some have called thee mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so; for those whom thou thinkest thou dost overthrow die not, but only rest and sleep. One short sleep past, everyone that sleep in the Lord will wake eternally, and death shall have no more. Death, thou shalt die. When we lose those we love, we must understand that it takes time to learn to feel again, for nothing can touch the heart which is frozen with grief. He is not dead, he is just away.... Sadly missed, but never forgotten. You will always live in the hearts of those you touched like me. Adieu!! - From Ifreke Ekaso.
